Welcome to the February 2025 update. We are excited to announce that Copilot in Excel with Python is now available on Windows platforms for all enterprise and consumer users. Also starting now, Excel users on Windows and web can get to Copilot faster from anywhere on the grid. Furthermore, Copilot can now bring web and organizational data into your spreadsheets—available for Windows and Mac Insider users.
Welcome to the January 2025 update. We are excited to announce that Copilot is now available to Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers in most markets worldwide.
Also, this month, expanded text analysis tools with Copilot in Excel, focus cell for Windows and Mac users, and dark mode now available to Windows Insiders users.
We’ve been gradually rolling out Forms data sync to Excel since early this year. During this process, we actively collected user feedback and iterated to enhance the feature for various use cases. I’m excited to announce that this feature is now fully available for all customers, complete with additional capabilities. Let’s explore these updates together. Welcome to the October 2024 update. This month, we’re excited that Clean Data with Copilot in Excel is now available in Excel for the web. Also, GROUPBY and PIVOTBY functions are now generally available in Excel for Windows, Mac and web. Furthermore, Focus Cell is now available to Insider users on Excel for Windows.

Increase ease of navigation with Focus Cell in Excel
Focus Cell applies vibrant highlights to the corresponding row and column of the active cell and increases the active cell’s border thickness. This makes the active cell more visible and facilitates easy identification of data across the same row and column.
