Apartir de abril, usuários de versões antigas do Office não terão mais suporte para editar documentos gerados nas edições mais recentes da suíte de produtividade da Microsoft. Essa possibilidade é garantida pelo Pacote de Compatibilidade do Office. É ele que garante que usuários de versões anteriores ao Office 2007 possam abrir e modificar arquivos gerados em versões mais recentes do Excel, Word e PowerPoint sem perda de funcionalidades. Segundo a Microsoft, o Pacote de Compatibilidade será retirado do ar no próximo mês.
